I dig the clothes but am buried by the prices. Cars, depreciate, homes (in this market) depreciate, stocks depreciate, but somehow R&R Surplus has managed to increase the price of a champion sweater from $15 at Academy to $57 online after 5 years of use and no mothballs? Think I'll stop by Goodwill and get it for $5, then drag it behind my car on the way home for that extra vintage shine.
I completely agree with you, but also see that there are "one-of-a-kind"* jackets for relatively inexpensive prices, plus I am holding out for their vintage bicycles. Those will hopefully be really cool. I guess I'd say I am going for more of the museum feel to it.
*"one-of-a-kind" mass produced military jackets...ha!
